Itinerary

Day 1 Bangkok

Day 2 Bangkok/Surat Thani

Day 3 Surat Thani/Khao Sok

See southern Thai hospitality in action with breakfast at G Adventures-supported Khao Thep Pitak Community-Owned Farm & Restaurant, where you can also meet other international visitors. Later on, enjoy free time. Opt to go to Lake Cheow Lan where you can take in the views while hiking or swimming in the national park. Spend tonight falling asleep to the sweet sounds of the jungle.

This area is known for its natural beauty. You know what that means: lots of chances for photos

Day 4 Surat Thani/Ko Samui

Your next stop is just a ferry ride away. Today, explore Ko Samui Island's beauty by catching the sunset at Chaweng Beach before eating your weight in street food at the night market. For your big night out, head to a popular beach bar, celebrate life-changing adventures, and dance the night away

Day 5 Ko Samui

Day 6 Ko Samui/George Town

Day 7 George Town

Day 8 George Town/Chenderoh Lake

Day 9 Chenderoh Lake/Cameron Highlands

Day 10 Cameron Highlands/Kuala Lumpur

Day 11 Kuala Lumpur

Day 12 Kuala Lumpur/Melaka

Today is your day to take on the canals by boat, and see a different side of this old port town. Maybe stop for some famous chicken rice at Kedai Kopi Chung Wah in Chinatown. Locals love it here; they often line up for hours to get a taste.

The streets of Chinatown (also known as Jonker Walk) are also lined with Peranakan (Straits Chinese) shophouses offering their traditional cuisine, Nyonya. Explore the many temples, churches, mosques, museums, and forts

Day 13 Melaka/Singapur

Day 15 Medan

Nothin' like a city tour to get to know the lay of the land. Walk and cruise on a becak, an Indonesian cycle rickshaw, through Medan today, visit the must-see spots like the Al-Mashun Great Mosque and Maimun Palace. Marvel at an ancient Chinese temple, explore the jewel of Medan, wander through the bustling local market, a fish market-turned fabric shop and chow down on a delicious family-style Padang lunch together. After the tour, the rest of the day is yours to explore the wonderful city of Medan

Day 17 Bukit Lawang/Gunung Leuser

The trek of a lifetime begins today as we head out into the Gunung Leuser National Park, home of the beautiful orangutan. This rainforest is one of the richest and most vibrant in the whole world! Our destination today is our campsite, deep in the jungle! We'll trek for around 6-7 hours today, on the look out for animals that most people only dream of spotting. Think orangutans, monkeys, giant monitor lizards and a bunch of colorful birds! We'll stop when we encounter animals (fingers crossed for a bunch of orangutans), take lots of breaks throughout the hike and stop for a picnic lunch halfway. Camp will already be set up for us when we arrive so that's your cue to relax and prepare for a delicious local cookout made by our local guide. A much deserved feast after today's adventure!

Day 18 Gunung Leuser/Bukit Lawang

Your tropical jungle adventure continues today, starting with a camp breakfast. Taking a different path, we'll hike through more of Gunung Leuser National Park, keeping an eye out for more endangered animals and admiring the insanely awesome jungle surroundings. We’re hoping for more interactions with orangutans especially today! At our destination, we'll have a riverside lunch then hop into an inner tube and raft down the river, returning to Bukit Lawang on a traditional raft. How cool is that? Enjoy free time to chill or visit the Bat Cave. Then get ready! ‘Cause we’re going out! Tonight is your Big Night Out alongside the crew. We’ll hit up a jungly bar and have ourselves a night!

Day 19 Bukit Lawang

On the way, we have the opportunity to spend the day at Kampung Lama, a special village where Malay, Javanese and Bataknese communities live peacefully together. Learn to make Balinese offerings then head to the nearby temple and join a local priest for the ceremony

Day 24 Bulian

Enjoy all that the beautiful village of Bulian has to offer today on a free day to choose your own adventure. Or choose to head out on a bike tour through Bulian to get acquainted with Northern Bali

A free morning gives you the chance to explore the rest of Bulian on your terms. Choose to just chill, or join a local cooking class or sunrise fishing trip. Then jump in the van and drive to Kintamani, the town nestled at the base of Mt Batur to arrive to our campsite for the night. Did we mention this campsite has a hot spring pool? Soak in the hot springs then join us 'round the campfire for a cozy night of camping!

Rise and shine as we are getting after it today! Waking well before the sun, we'll start our 2 hour trek to reach the Mt Batur summit in time to enjoy an absolutely stunning sunrise. And what's a picturesque sunrise without a lil picnic breakfast, amirite? With the sun finally up, we'll hike back down for a proper breakfast and a well-deserved hot spring soak. Then it's goodbye Kintamani and hello Ubud! On the way, we'll stop at G Adventures-supported PKP Community to meet with the women leaders, visit the garden and enjoy a local lunch. Opt to join a local cooking class, take a bike tour or join a yoga class. Then join the group for an after-dinner campfire
